* Fault find and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, cylinders, valves and pipework.

* Carry out mechanical repairs on mixers, rotating equipment, pumps and associated process machinery.

* Support low voltage electrical fault finding where required.

* Identify reliability improvements and implement engineering solutions to reduce future failures.

* Maintain engineering stores and critical spare parts.

* Ensure maintenance records are accurately completed.

* Work closely with production teams to maximise plant availability

Essential Experience

* Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, or expereince.

* Strong background maintaining heavy industrial plant.

Proven experience working on:

* Conveyor systems

* Gearbox strip-downs, rebuilds and repairs

* Hydraulic fault finding and repairs

* Pumps, bearings, motors and rotating equipment

* Pneumatic systems

* Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.

* Basic low voltage electrical fault-finding ability.

* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of site maintenance.

What You'll Be Working On

This role focuses on maintaining heavy mechanical equipment including:

* Industrial conveyor systems

* Gearboxes and drive systems

* Hydraulic power units

* Process mixers

* Pumps

* Bearings

* Motors

* Chain drives

* Mechanical power transmission equipment

If you're someone who enjoys getting hands-on with heavy industrial machinery, stripping gearboxes, repairing conveyors and solving mechanical problems, this role offers plenty of variety and long-term development opportunities
