Mechanical Engineer

Pertemps Daventry is recruiting on behalf of one of our established clients for a Mechanical Engineer to join their friendly and growing team.

This is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity offering £19.00 per hour, with the chance to secure a permanent position with a well-established business.

This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit a forward-thinking, motivated engineer with a passion for fault finding, servicing and maintaining diesel engines. You'll be working in a supportive environment where customer service and engineering excellence are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role
Service, rebuild, repair and maintain diesel engines

Diagnose faults on petrol, diesel and gas engines

Carry out electrical diagnostics and common rail/ECU fault finding

Work primarily from the workshop with occasional visits to customer sites

Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service

What We're Looking For
Experience or qualifications in mechanical engineering

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience working on diesel engines

Knowledge of common rail/ECU systems is advantageous

A proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a small team

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

30-minute lunch break
