Mechanical Engineer – Heat Pumps

Location: South East (Field-Based)
Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Engineer / Heat Pump Installer to join a well-established and rapidly expanding renewable energy specialist delivering premium residential and commercial projects across the South East.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key role in the installation of modern renewable heating and mechanical systems across a variety of high-specification projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Installing advanced heating, plumbing and mechanical systems to engineering drawings and specifications

* Assisting with the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), heating systems, cooling systems and Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)

* Installing high-quality plumbing pipework to exceptional standards

* Working on premium residential developments and selected commercial projects across the South East

* Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards

* Working closely with Project Managers and Mechanical Supervisors to deliver projects on time

* Maintaining excellent communication with clients, contractors and other trades on site

* Following all health & safety procedures, risk assessments and company standards

Requirements:

We're looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

* NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (Essential)

* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (Desirable)

* 1-3 years' practical experience in plumbing or mechanical installation

* A solid understanding of domestic plumbing and heating systems

* The ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings

* A full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

* Previous experience installing Air Source Heat Pumps

* Experience with MVHR or renewable heating technologies

* Knowledge of low-temperature heating systems and hydraulic principles

* Commitment to ongoing professional development and manufacturer training
