Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer– Just Temps is currently looking for highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer based in the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk on a full-time basis!

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a production environment. The role will initially be a temporary position for up to 12 weeks and for the right candidate will go permanent!

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for machine setup, planned maintenance, breakdown response and electrical/mechanical fault-finding, helping to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability. Working hours are 39 hours per week with a starting salary of £14.80 per hour.

Key Duties:

Set up machinery and complete production line changeovers.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electromechanical faults.
Inspect equipment for wear, defects and potential failures.
Follow health & safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements:

An Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification - this is essential
Previous experience within manufacturing, production environment
Immediately available or available to start at short notice
Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle – this is essential
