Location: One Knightsbridge Green, London

Salary: £44,000 – £45,000

Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00–16:00 / 09:00–18:00 on a weekly rotating shift

Callout: 1 week in 3, with £100 weekly callout allowance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Engineer to join their site-based engineering team at a prestigious commercial building in Knightsbridge. The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, ensuring all building services and equipment remain operational, safe and compliant.

This is a hands-on engineering position suited to an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong maintenance background and the ability to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.

Maintain and service a range of building mechanical systems and equipment.

Respond to reactive maintenance requests and minimise equipment downtime.

Carry out inspections and routine checks to ensure plant and equipment remain safe and operational.

Complete maintenance records, job sheets and relevant site documentation accurately.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures.

Work closely with the wider engineering team, contractors and site management.

Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the building's mechanical services.

Participate in the site's callout rota, approximately 1 week in 3.

Qualifications / Experience

Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant engineering background.

Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a commercial building services environment.

Strong experience in planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.

Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

Experience working within a high-end commercial or landmark building environment would be advantageous.
