The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting a major nuclear programme, where you will play a pivotal role in managing mechanical contracts and ensuring technical excellence across delivery.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles Mechanical Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Contracts Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Equipment Engineer, Systems Engineer, Mechanical Package Engineer, Technical Engineer, or Engineering Coordinator.
Your duties and responsibilities will be Oversee and assure the quality of contractor outputs across design, manufacture, and qualification phases Manage design updates, technical queries, non-conformances, and changes to contract scope Maintain robust configuration control while ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual requirements Lead technical discussions and act as the key link between engineering teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders Track delivery progress, provide reporting insight, and support team capability development where requiredYou will have the following qualifications and experience Background in mechanical equipment within the nuclear sector, covering design through to operation Strong awareness of engineering interfaces, including systems integration, safety case alignment, and civil considerations Familiarity with nuclear reactor technologies such as EPR or PWR designs Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and resolve complex technical issues Competence with contract processes, document control systems, and general IT tools, supported by an engineering qualificationGet in touch now If you're seeking a new opportunity and think you have the skills and experience we are looking for, then apply now or contact Chris Hill
