Mechanical Engineer/ Sheet Metal Worker/Fitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer preferably apprentice trained to join Newsmiths industrial washing machine and handling engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Mechanical engineering background and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

* Working with stainless steel sheet metal

* Experience in Tig Welding is essential

* Experience in polishing tig welds and sheet metal joints

* Experience in cutting and assembling box section/ angle frameworks

* The ability to fit shafts/ bearings/ pumps/ gearboxes and general engineering tasks

* Able to read & manufacture from 3D & AutoCad drawings, ensuring that you meet the required specifications and standards.

* Occasional working out on site for installations/ breakdowns as and when required

Qualifications

* Skilled qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ Sheet metal work/ Tig Welding, HNC, BTEC, NVQ L3 or similar.

* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience.

* Excellent problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication skills to convey technical information.
