The Role: This role is for a Mechanical Engineer Lead—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for: Support engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, and operational support. Review and approve technical documentation Support configuration management activities. Provide technical oversight to facility modifications, infrastructure upgrades, and asset lifecycle management activities. Support planning, risk management, and progress reporting activities associated with engineering delivery. Support installation, commissioning, and testing activities where required to ensure engineering solutions are successfully implemented. The Individual We’re looking for people who can show: Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Engineering expertise within a highly regulated or safety-critical industry. Leading engineering teams or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities. Delivering engineering solutions across the full asset lifecycle including design, modification, maintenance, and operational support. Understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance, and configuration management. Desirable Attributes: Understanding of the nuclear industry and/or other safety-critical environments. Supporting infrastructure or facility-based engineering projects. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or process systems associated with industrial facilities. Working within defence or MoD environments supporting asset lifecycle management.
