Mechanical Estimator

A great opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established Electrical and Mechanical solutions provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served tradesperson (ideally an ex-pipefitter welder) looking to transition into or further develop their career in estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive bids for mechanical projects.
• Price works related to:
  
  • Plant rooms / energy centres / boiler houses
  • Pump installations
• Review technical drawings and specifications to produce detailed cost estimates.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
• Ensure bids are submitted on time and meet client requirements.
• Travel to sites across the UK as required (typically returning the same day).

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mechanical estimating or a strong background in mechanical trades.
• Time-served in the mechanical trade, ideally as a pipefitter welder.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installations.
• CSCS card holder.
• Full UK driving licence – national travel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
