Commercial & Industrial Projects | Up to £5m

A well-established, family-run Mechanical & Electrical contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The business delivers large commercial and industrial projects across the UK, with individual project values up to £5 million. Due to continued growth and a strong tender pipeline, they are open to Estimators at all levels, from Assistant through to Senior.

The Role:

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical tenders, supporting the business in securing profitable work across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing mechanical cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

*

Producing take-offs, material pricing, and labour allowances

*

Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations

*

Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost savings

*

Supporting handover to delivery teams upon project award

*

Working closely with Directors, Contracts Managers, and the wider pre-construction team

Requirements:

*

Background in Mechanical Building Services Estimating

*

Experience pricing commercial and/or industrial projects

*

Open to Assistant, Intermediate, or Senior level candidates

*

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

*

Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders

*

Relevant mechanical / building services qualification (preferred but not essential)
