Mechanical Estimator

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, there is a now a new opportunity within an established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor based in the West Midlands for an experienced Mechanical Estimator.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and successful contractor delivering Mechanical and Electrical projects across the Retail, Industrial and Commercial sectors, with project values typically ranging from £1.5M to £8M.

The business is exceptionally busy and is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact, and the role is open to work as both permanent or on a contract basis
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical tenders, working closely with the pre-construction team

Responsibilities will include:
Producing detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions
Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
Preparing take offs and cost plans
Identifying value engineering opportunities
Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and the project teams
Managing multiple tenders within agreed deadlines

The successful individual ;
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within an established contractor
Strong knowledge of Mechanical installations
Commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and organisational skills
Able to work independently and contribute immediately within a fast paced pre-construction team
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
