Mechanical Fitter

We are working with several manufacturing companies across Glasgow who are looking for Mechanical Fitters. These roles vary in working hours and salary. Please see a overview of the key responsibilities of the roles.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically fit and assemble components according to technical drawings and customer specifications.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Meet monthly delivery targets.
• Produce customer-compliant products using quality controls.
• Interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and bill of materials to produce compliant products.
• Report quality concerns and kit shortages to the mechanical team lead.
• Verify goods inward material is correct to drawing requirements pre-assembly operations.
• Ensure safe working practices are always met while adhering to the health and safety policy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.

Person

• Experience working in a similar role or a keen interest in developing new skills in precision mechanical engineering.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience in manual drilling, reaming, and tapping is preferred.
• Experience in deburr operations is desirable.
• Background working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
