Mechanical Fitter

Position: Skilled Mechanical Production Fitter

General Attributes

• Good spoken and written English. / Physically fit / Good workplace organisation ethic. / Flexible work style and able to work overtime and onsite (Overseas) as required. / Able to work effectively to deadlines. / Able to work alone or as part of a team. / Able to provide own tools in-line with job expectation.

Job related experience

• Demonstrate 2 years of mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch to drawings / pneumatic diagrams.

Desirable

• Experience of above in glass / conveyor or food processing equipment industries.
• Experience of installation and / or commissioning and or testing of large complex equipment.

Technical related experience

Skill 1 - 2 years’ experience of reading and working to complex engineering drawings with attention to detail.

Skill 2 - 5 years’ experience of typical mechanical skills including such things as marking out, drilling, tapping, cutting, etc.

Skill 3 - 2 years’ experience of working with and reading pneumatic diagrams.

Skill 4 - 2 years’ experience fitting motors / gearboxes / bearings / pipe work (Copper & UPVC) / drive shafts etc.

Skill 5 - Experience and appreciation of squaring and levelling machines.
