Job Description - Mechanical Fitter

Do you have a strong background in mechanical fitting? Are you looking to join a progressive global manufacturing business? My client is a well-established manufacturing business that supply into a variety of industry as well as blue chip organisations. What makes them stand out from their competitors is that design and build their own bespoke machinery.

They are looking for a senior mechanical fitter to join their team, the ideal candidate will have previous machine build experience within a relevant engineering field.

Permanent
Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4pm, Friday 7:30am – 3pm
Salary dependant on experience
Smethwick, Birmingham

Mechanical Fitter
Job Description

Build a range of heavy-duty machinery from start to finish
Post-build testing of completed machinery and subsections of machinery.
Working from drawings you will be required to assemble precision bearings and work with fits & limits in a range of applications.
Use manual machines to modify/correct parts

Mechanical Fitter
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Strong mechanical machine building/assembly experience
Pneumatics & Hydraulics experience
Able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
Machine build experience, along with a background of the assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical parts
Happy to travel overseas
