We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of automated machinery within a busy automotive manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
* Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on production machinery.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
* Replace and align mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.
* Support machinery upgrades and commissioning activities.
* Work safely in line with site procedures.
Experience Required:
* Mechanical fitting experience within automotive or manufacturing.
* Strong fault-finding skills on industrial machinery.
* Experience with conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
