Our established client specialises in the manufacture of a wide range of balers and waste compactors supplied to clients throughout the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth are now seeking to recruit a number of Mechanical Fitter professionals to be based in their Sheffield facility.

Core responsibilities for these varied and challenging Mechanical Fitter positions will include (but not be limited to):

Assembling and building machinery from engineering drawings.
Fitting mechanical components including bearings, motors, gearboxes, shafts and rollers.
Installing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Carrying out mechanical fault finding, adjustments and repairs.
Testing and inspecting machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely.
Supporting machinery installation and commissioning when required.
Working closely with fabrication and engineering teams.
Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required specification. Working a 39-hour week with generous overtime available, other benefits for the Mechanical Fitter role include a pension scheme, quarterly bonus based on attendance and scope for progression.
