We are a specialist engineering company in Daventry who provide high-quality conveyor belts to customers across a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Defence and Motorsport. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a hands-on Mechanical Fitter / Technician to join the workshop team taking on various assembly, build, repair and reconditioning, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK or further
BASIC SALARY: up to £33,000 depending on experience

Every day will be different, but your Mechanical Fitter responsibilities will include: · Manufacturing, building, fitting and repairing products in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites · Carrying out quality control inspections to make sure your work meets the required standards · Reading and working from technical drawings (schematics), client specifications and work instructions · Making sure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures · Working closely with colleagues across production and technical · Looking after tools and equipment and keeping the workshop clean and organised
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician - engineering, industrial consumables
We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious and takes genuine pride in their work.
You will : · Have experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment · Have a practical, proactive approach to problem solving · Be flexible when it comes to working hours · Possess great attention to detail and the ability to read technical drawings · Be competent with bench work and various hand tools · Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team · Hold good communication and customer service skills · Have a full UK driving licence
