Mechanical Fitter / Assembler

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Assembly Operative / Mechanical Fitter to assemble their manufactured machinery to a high quality standard.
NOTE: You will also require some Electrical Assembly experience, but mostly Mechanical.
Salary: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour + Overtime
Hours of work: 40 hours a week, normal day hours, Monday to Friday
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer / Assembly Operative, preferably in an Engineering background
* Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject, or Apprentice trained
* Experience of assembling, fitting, or installing Manufacturing Machines / Special Purpose Machinery building experience will be favoured, however other industries building bespoke equipment may also be considered
Responsibilities:
* The mechanical assembly of a wide variety of machinery parts
* Read and interpret mechanical assembly diagrams, engineering drawings, bills of material and specifications
* Confirm quality checks have been completed
* Providing training, guidance, and support to apprentices and other members of the assembly team to increase their skills and knowledge base
* Support the integration of new product lines being adopted
This job would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, such as; Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative / Assembly Operator / Assembly Technician / Mechanical Installer
