We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to carry out Heavy maintenance on a fleet of Rail vehicles in Cardiff on a 12 month Contract basis.

This role has a rate of £19.56 ph PAYE or £25.98 Umb -  36 hours a week (with possible overtime), Monday to Friday Days Earlies and Lates on a rotation!!

The ideal individuals will have experience in some form of heavy Engineering or a relatable industry such as Vehicle/Aircraft maintenance, heavy engineering (REME, HGV, PSV etc) but all background industries will be considered

Your Tasks
Carry out maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
Working on the underframes of rail vehicles to refit/replace components as part of the overhaul.
Your Profile

Essential:  
Experienced engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
Some Proven experience, involvement and understanding of vehicle maintenance or overhaul/refurbishment activities
