Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment are excited to announce we are working with a leading manufacturer in the Matlock, Derbyshire area who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team due internal movement within the business.

Working Hours:

3 week rota 12 hour shifts -No Sunday work and only 1 in 3 Saturdays!

Salary- £50,551

Location- Matlock

Key Responsibilities or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Work safely, within guidance, training, instruction and risk assessments
• Carry out remedial work on any and all plant and equipment
• Breakdowns, Health and Safety issues, Corrective works from CMMS.
• Identifying replacement parts as required
• Carry out proactive Maintenance on the plant
• Facilities work
• Scheduled and condition based preventative maintenance from CMMS
• Reviewing activity checklists and procedures to improve effectiveness

Key Skills or a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Fault finding in pneumatic/hydraulic systems
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical assy. drawings
• Working knowledge of drives, motors, invertors etc
• Working knowledge with heavy machinery such as Furnaces, presses etc
• A good grounding in mechanical diagnostics and repairs

Key Behaviours of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Ability to work well within a team, and on own initiative in equal measure
• Must have an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering
• Must have 3 years experience post apprenticeship within manufacturing
• Highly motivated
• Experience within a heavy manufacturing environment previously
• Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts and tasks
