Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

• Annual Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 + Overtime

Join a well-respected precision engineering company in Lancing as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This role is ideal for mechanically skilled engineers who thrive in maintaining and improving CNC machines and workshop equipment. With a focus on industries like aerospace, medical, and defence, you'll be part of a small, friendly team in a stable work environment.

• Maintain and repair CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, and fabrication tools.
• Perform mechanical diagnostics, part replacements, lubrication, and general upkeep.
• Support minor installations and retrofitting of older machines.
• Carry out safe shutdowns and provide emergency fault cover when needed.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth operations.

• Mechanical bias with experience in CNC, manual lathes, or general machining.
• Understanding of hydraulics, motors, pumps, belts, and bearings.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
• Relevant NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Monday to Friday work schedule with early finish on Fridays.
• Opportunity for overtime, with potential earnings up to £48k+.
