Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Reading

Rate: £37.00 per hour (CIS)
Contract: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
Hours: 80 Hours over a 9-Day Fortnight
Start: ASAP

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-term maintenance contract based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a secure, high-profile site offering excellent rates, consistent hours and the benefit of a 9-day fortnight, giving you every second Friday off.

Successful candidates will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor mechanical works across a large commercial/industrial facility, ensuring all mechanical plant and systems remain operational and compliant.

The Role

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across mechanical building services.

* Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance and repairs.

* Maintain pumps, valves, pipework, AHUs and associated mechanical plant.

* Complete maintenance records and work safely in line with site procedures.

* Support the wider engineering team to ensure maximum plant availability.

Requirements

* Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).

* CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card.

* Previous experience in commercial, industrial or FM maintenance.

* Experience maintaining pumps, AHUs, valves and pipework.

* Able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

What's On Offer?

* £37.00 per hour.

* 80 hours paid over a 9-day fortnight.

* Every second Friday off.

* If work is required on the scheduled Friday off, it is paid at an enhanced overtime rate.

* Long-term contract with potential extension.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the project, successful applicants must either hold current SC Clearance or be willing to undergo BPSS screening, security vetting and site inductions before commencing work.
