Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently supporting a great client of ours in finding a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial building services experience and the relevant qualifications to work safely and effectively within a critical environment.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team, working across a cluster of sites in West London.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, responding to faults and ensuring that mechanical building services are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance

* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and issues

* Maintain pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, heating systems, pipework and other mechanical plant and equipment

* Carry out general mechanical maintenance and remedial works

* Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and breakdowns

* Complete repairs and maintenance within agreed timescales

* Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

* Complete maintenance records and job sheets accurately

* Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues and other contractors

* Identify potential issues and report any remedial works required

* Follow all relevant health & safety procedures

* Support the wider engineering team with general building services maintenance where required

Requirements

* NVQ Level 2/3 Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, City & Guilds or equivalent recognised qualification

* Experience working within commercial buildings or a facilities management environment

* Good understanding of mechanical building services and maintenance

* Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance

* A valid UK right to work

Package

* £39,000 salary

* 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
