Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a heavy engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
Salary: £45,000 pa
Hours: Working hours will be 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday: 07:45 - 16:15 and Friday: 07:45 - 12:45

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for planning the preventative maintenance programme, along with managing and supervising a team of 7 Maintenance Engineers. This role will be 80% office-based and 20% on the tools
Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor include
- Ensures the direct team and deployed contractors comply with all HS&E rules of the site
- Develop new and maintain existing effective preventive maintenance programmes
- Plans the maintenance programme
- Accountable for the Maintenance team achieving KPIs and team goals
- Conduct regular individual maintenance team members' performance reviews and goals
- Maintains consistent and effective communication with internal customers on planned maintenance, repairs and expected completion dates
- Set up a critical parts store and maintain stock levels
- Assist in identifying parts deficiencies and help to prevent further recurrences
- Allocate maintenance tasks, run reports and monitor assets through an online asset management system
- Manage, monitor and develop a key asset improvement and efficiency programme
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example
We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors with the following skills/experience:
- Apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering field
- NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Engineering
- Experience working in a heavy engineering environment
- Leadership and people management
- Team building and objective setting
- Experience using maintenance planning systems
- Use of overhead crane (pendant & remote) is desirable
