Salary & Benefits

• A salary of up to £42,000 (dependent on experience)
• Pension (matched up to 6%).

What you will be doing as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Restoring and overhauling equipment
• Focusing on long-term preventive measures and operational efficiency
• Assisting with breakdowns as needed
• Entering completed work and any follow-up tasks into the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Completing basic machining tasks (lathes, drills, grinding, milling, etc.)
• Carrying out daily inspections and routine checks
• Monitoring site services
• Completing handovers
• Supporting the engineering spares and stores function
• Following health and safety policies and procedures

What you will need to apply for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician position

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a heavy industrial setting
• A time-served apprenticeship
• Strong technical knowledge, especially of gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and rotating equipment
• Good workshop skills (lathes, drills, millers, grinders, etc.)
• Experience using a computerised maintenance management system.

Your working hours

You will work a day's rota of 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-2pm on Fridays.
