Mechanical Maintenance Technician

SRG are delighted to be working with a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in North Lanarkshire who are looking to add a mechanical maintenance engineer to their expanding team.

The company design and manufacture parts for the aerospace and defence sectors and are undergoing a sustained period of growth.

The role

As a mechanical maintenance engineer your primary responsibility will be to ensure the maintenance of production machinery & equipment, carrying out fault finding & repair tasks on a wide variety of equipment, primarily mechanical. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure down-time is kept to an absolute minimum on the company's high volume production facility.

This role operates on an early/back rotational shift pattern with the hours below

Early - 6-2 Mon-Thu and Friday 6-4pm

Back - 2-10 Mon-Thurs, Friday off

The right candidate

• Has experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience in fault finding and equipment repair
• Experience in a mechanical maintenance focussed position
• Awareness of electrical fault finding & repair
