We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical Bias to join a busy production facility where you'll play a vital role in keeping production machinery and site equipment running efficiently. The Role:
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of mechanical production machinery and site facilities. Working closely with the wider engineering team, you'll undertake both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring downtime is minimised and operational efficiency is maximised.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings, valves and packaging machinery.
Complete reactive breakdown repairs quickly and effectively.
Replace and refurbish worn or damaged mechanical components.
Perform lubrication, alignment, adjustment and mechanical servicing activities.
Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment failures.
Support machinery installation, upgrades and commissioning projects.
Work collaboratively with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing reliability and efficiency.
Help drive engineering best practice across the site.
What They're Looking For:

Recognised Engineering qualification in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or similar.
Proven experience as a Multiskilled Engineer within a mechanical manufacturing, food production, FMCG or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience working on pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, valves and production machinery.
Basic electrical maintenance knowledge and confidence working with low voltage systems.
Experience using CMMS maintenance systems.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong awareness of health, safety and food manufacturing standards.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and engineering software packages.
