An established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.
Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, an opportunity has arisen for a driven Mechanical Project Engineer to join the project delivery team based in Leicester.
The Role
The Mechanical Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring mechanical packages are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of mechanical building services packages across multiple projects Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers Assist with procurement of materials and equipment Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation Monitor project progress against programme requirements Support commissioning activities and project handovers Attend client meetings and site progress meetings Ensure works are completed in accordance with health & safety requirements Manage technical queries and provide engineering support to delivery teams
Requirements
Previous experience within Mechanical M&E contracting Experience working as a Mechanical Project Engineer Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installations Good communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work within fast-paced project environments Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
Package
Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience Pension contribution Career progression and development opportunities
