About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client's growing project team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a major project with an anticipated duration of approximately 18 months.
Working alongside the Swivel Stack Project Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering coordination and management of a large, complex mechanical equipment package (Swivel). The role requires strong project engineering capability, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate technical interfaces across multiple disciplines and suppliers.
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
* Approximately 5 years' experience in a Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Engineer role.
* Experience delivering complex mechanical equipment packages within the offshore, marine, energy, or oil & gas sectors.
* Strong engineering coordination and project execution experience.
* Proven package management and interface management capability.
* Working knowledge of offshore and marine classification standards, including:
* ABS
* DNV
* Familiarity with relevant piping and engineering standards, including:
* API
* NORSOK
* Good understanding of rotating equipment and associated systems.
* Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.
Desirable Experience
Experience working on offshore engineering projects.
Previous involvement in swivel systems, subsea equipment, or other large rotating mechanical assemblies.
Exposure to EPC, EPCM, or major capital project environments.
Experience managing suppliers and manufacturing interfaces.
