Mechanical Project Manager

Our client is a ever growing, family-run HVAC & Mechanical company based in Essex is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding Projects Division following a major project wins.

The role involves managing projects from start to finish, including site surveys, design, estimation, procurement, supervision of labour, commissioning, and final handover. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget is a key responsibility.

The successful candidate will lead a team of at least two PAYE installation engineers and coordinate additional subcontractors as needed. Applicants must have a minimum of five years' experience managing large-scale mechanical projects, particularly involving AHUs, chillers, VRV/VRF systems, boilers, and ventilation systems. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and client-facing skills are essential.

The position is based out of the Essex office, with a flexible working arrangement offering roughly 50% remote work and 50% on-site presence. Projects are located around the M25, primarily in the healthcare and education sectors.

• Experience in project managing within HVAC & Mechanical
• A minimum of 5 years' experience, with responsibility for running projects, as well as managing a team of engineers who have reported directly to the candidate.
• Experience managing projects within Healthcare and Schools
• Desirable to hold experience working on Chiller systems linking to MRI
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Projects
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
