Mechanical Project Engineer / Manager
Location: Slough
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Shorterm Group is partnering with a well-established and reputable mechanical contractor to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer/Manager for a major food manufacturing facility in Slough.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically strong engineer with experience in process pipework and machinery to take on a leadership role, managing a team of 13 (including 2 Foremen) and acting as the key liaison with a high-profile client in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical projects within a live manufacturing environment
- Oversee a team of engineers and technicians
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client
- Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and administration is completed to a high standard
- Maintain strong communication and coordination across departments

Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical project engineering / management within a similar background (Pharma or medical etc)
- Strong background in process pipework and machinery
- Excellent IT and project documentation skills
- Confident communicator with leadership experience in a plant or industrial setting
- You must have the right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this role

Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £70,000 - £80,000
- Bonus scheme: Performance-based (up to £10,000 depending on project delivery and company performance)
