Join a forward-thinking business delivering technically complex mechanical projects with the support of cutting-edge digital construction tools.
Avolon M&E are looking for a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead a variety of challenging and detailed commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that combines traditional MEP delivery with advanced BIM and project planning methodologies.
Based in Ringwood, our client specialises in the planning and coordination of construction projects, offering full mechanical design, coordination, and installation services. With an integrated approach that merges digital construction expertise (BIM, 4D planning) and on-the-ground mechanical delivery, the company works across sectors including commercial office fit-outs, landlord plant upgrades, and building refurbishments.
The Role
* As Mechanical Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of mechanical packages across multiple live projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading mechanical installation projects from design through to completion
* Overseeing site-based works including ductwork, AHU, VRF, sanitaryware, drainage, BMS, and more
* Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme, quality, and H&S targets are met
* Managing client relationships and chairing site meetings
* Supporting the integration of digital tools (e.g., BIM coordination) for improved delivery
* Liaising with design and planning teams to resolve clashes and technical issues
What You’ll Need
* Strong background in mechanical building services project management
* Experience delivering full mechanical fit-out projects in commercial environments
* Ability to manage subcontractors and multi-stakeholder coordination
* Understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to read technical drawings
* Familiarity with BIM or digital construction tools is beneficial (but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required
* Hybrid working – with flexibility to split time between site, office (Ringwood), and home
* A supportive, forward-thinking company that invests in both people and technology
* Opportunities to develop with exposure to both project delivery and digital construction innovation
