Our Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing M&E division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial design through to completion and handover.
You will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships while driving commercial success and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle from design and planning through to completion and handover.
* Undertake site surveys and support estimating activities.
* Develop project programmes and delivery plans.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
* Manage procurement schedules, purchase orders, and supplier requisitions.
* Monitor budgets, project expenditure, cash flow, and profitability.
* Oversee project documentation including RFIs, risk assessments, method statements, technical submissions, and project registers.
* Manage project variations and secure relevant site instructions.
* Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, and monitor follow-up actions.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and company standards.
* Prepare project reports and updates for senior management.
* Manage handover documentation, certification, operation and maintenance manuals, and record drawings.
* Provide leadership and support to site teams and operatives.
About You
* NVQ, OND, HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum three years’ experience in project management within a building services or M&E contracting environment.
* Strong experience in budgeting, procurement, cost control, and contract management.
* SMSTS qualification and valid CSCS Card.
* Excellent organisational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Committed to delivering projects safely, efficiently, and profitably.
