DCT Recruitment are currently recruiting Mechanical Quantity Surveyor for our client based in Deeside.
Location: Shotton
Job Type: Full-time, site based, no hybrid work
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Salary: £275 -£350 per day

Responsibilities:
• Manage all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures and seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality,
• When the project is in progress, he/she keeps track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability,
• Provide advice on contractual claims,
• Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks,
• Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes,
• Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labor efficiency throughout the project,
• Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account,
• Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certs/payless notices for sub-contractors each month,
• Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying,
• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects,
• Experience in NEC Contracts, and industry standards,
• Commercial knowledge,
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills,
• Preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
