Mechanical Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a busy and growing delivery team, overseeing mechanical installation works across a varied portfolio of projects.
This is not a static, single-project supervision role. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working across multiple sites and travelling between projects as required. Projects are generally smaller and fast-moving, meaning you may spend a few days on one site before moving to another to provide support and technical supervision.
Current projects are located across Kent, Oxford, Bournemouth, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton, the M25 and Central London, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise mechanical installation works across multiple projects and sites.
* Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, correctly and to programme.
* Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, site teams and other trades.
* Monitor installation quality and ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
* Provide technical support and help resolve site-based mechanical issues.
* Assist with commissioning, testing and handover activities.
* Identify potential problems and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.
* Ensure site activities are properly coordinated and communicated.
* Monitor progress and report back to the Project Manager.
* Support the delivery team wherever additional site-based technical or supervisory input is required.
* Help ensure projects are delivered to the required standards for health, safety, quality and programme.
* Work effectively across both existing/live buildings and new-build environments.
Project Experience
The role offers exposure to a varied range of mechanical projects, including:
* Healthcare projects and mechanical infrastructure associated with MRI, CT and other specialist scanning equipment.
* Commercial developments.
* Education projects.
* New-build developments.
* Refurbishment and fit-out projects within existing/live buildings.
* Both pre-designed projects and full design-and-build schemes.
This variety makes the role particularly suited to someone who enjoys working across different environments and dealing with new technical and delivery challenges.
