Job Description - Mechanical Supervisor - Nights

Job title: Mechanical Supervisor (Nightshift)
Location: Port Glasgow (Onsite)

What you’ll be doing:
Leveraging your Mechanical Engineering experience, to lead and supervise a multiskilled team to ensure that all activities are completed on time and of the quality of output consistent with operational standard and requirement.

Installing main machinery on new build vessels
Reading and understanding technical drawings
Set up and aligning shafts thrusters, rudders gear boxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment
Set work to the team to maximise utilisation of labour and meet delivery schedules
Providing technical advice to the team and identify process improvements
Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, log books, accident book, training, performance and attendance.

Experience

Educated to HNC level in a related subject
Supervisory experience in an industrial environment
IT skills- MS Office
