We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector to join our clients friendly team near Hoo, Medway.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a genuine interest in vehicles, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The Role

As a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles and identifying mechanical faults, damage, and defects. You will ensure vehicles are assessed accurately and meet the required safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

* Carrying out thorough mechanical inspections of vehicles

* Identifying mechanical faults, defects, and areas requiring repair

* Checking brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, engines and other key components

* Recording inspection results accurately

* Using diagnostic equipment where required

* Reporting any issues or safety concerns

* Working to high standards of accuracy and attention to detail

* Following all health & safety procedures and company standards

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience in a vehicle inspection, mechanical, workshop or automotive role

* Good knowledge of vehicle mechanics

* Strong attention to detail

* The ability to identify faults and assess vehicle condition

* A good understanding of health & safety

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* A full UK driving licence is desirable
