About the Role

Your day will centre on MOT testing for cars and light commercial vehicles, making sure safety standards are upheld without compromise. Beyond the test itself, there will also be occasional servicing and repair work. Its a role for someone who values doing things properly and appreciates the trust that customers place in their tester.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 am 5:30 pm
  
  

• Saturdays (on rota): 9:00 am 12:00 pm
  
  

Key Duties

• Carry out MOT tests to the required standard and routine servicing and repair work
  
  

• Keep accurate records and follow compliance procedures
  
  

• Advise customers clearly on outcomes and next steps
  
  

• Maintain equipment and testing areas to DVSA standards

• Work closely with the wider workshop team to keep things running smoothly
  
  

Key Requirements

• MOT testing licence or previous experience working within a garage
  

• Solid experience in testing and vehicle safety standards
  
  

• Confidence in communicating with customers in a straightforward, approachable way
  
  

• Reliability and a high level of attention to detail
  
  

• A team player who takes pride in their work
