Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting a passionate and practical Mechanics Instructor to join a specialist SEN provision in Dudley. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs, including autism and SEMH, through vocational and hands-on learning.

You'll deliver engaging mechanics sessions that help students build confidence, develop valuable skills, and gain vocational qualifications. Working in small groups, you'll provide structured, supportive learning in a safe workshop environment.

• Plan and deliver practical mechanics sessions tailored to individual learner needs

• Support students in developing vocational and life skills

• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed workshop space

• Adapt lessons and support strategies for a range of SEN/SEMH needs

• Contribute to curriculum planning and track student progress

• Industry knowledge or experience in motor vehicle/mechanics is essential

• Experience working with young people with SEND

• Positive, flexible, and resilient approach to managing behaviour and learning

• Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential

• Knowledge or experience of autism and/or SEMH is a strong advantage
