Member Accounts Administrator

About the role:

As a Member Accounts Administrator, you'll provide accurate, timely support across member and staff accounts. You'll work as part of the Finance Shared Services team, helping ensure payments, statements, invoicing and member account administration are completed accurately and on time.

You'll play an important role in supporting the financial relationship between Foodstuffs South Island and our owner-operated stores, ensuring member accounts are accurate, queries are resolved promptly, and financial processes run smoothly.

This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day). You'll join a passionate team that enjoys learning new things, supporting one another, and finding better ways of working.

Some of the things you'll do

• Process payments from daily Foodies bank statements and ensure they're allocated accurately.


• Prepare owner/operator transaction statements for products, leasing and hardware charges.


• Monitoring outstanding balances, responding to account enquiries and assisting with credit control processes.


• Respond to queries from our stores and internal teams through our shared inbox.


• Jump in and support the wider Finance Shared Services team in resolving account discrepancies and support day-to-day account management during peak periods.

About you:

You'll be an experienced administrator who has worked in an accounting, finance, accounts receivable, or similar environment before. You'll be comfortable working with financial information and accounting processes and understand the fundamentals of how transactions, debits and credits flow through a finance environment. Ideally, you'll also bring:

• Confidence working with financial information, transactions and accounting processes.


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working at pace.


• Good time management and organisational skills.


• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach when supporting stores and internal stakeholders.


• A continuous improvement mindset and curiosity about how work can be done more effectively.
