About the Role

Health Now Complex Care is looking for experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to join our team supporting a young person in Oxfordshire.

This is an opportunity for a dedicated support worker who has experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, autism and challenging behaviours.

The role focuses on providing consistent, person-centred support while helping the individual feel safe, supported and understood.

Essential Experience

* Complex PTSD

* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

* Challenging behaviours

* Complex mental health needs

* Emotional distress and dysregulation

* Experience supporting individuals with behaviours that may present a risk to themselves or others

Key Responsibilities

* Provide compassionate, person-centred support

* Support the individual's emotional wellbeing and mental health needs

* Develop positive and trusting professional relationships

* Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging or distressed behaviour

* Follow individualised care plans, risk assessments and support strategies

* Recognise changes in presentation and escalate concerns appropriately

* Encourage independence, communication and meaningful activities

* Help maintain a safe, calm and structured environment

* Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

* Complete accurate daily records and handovers

* Work effectively with the wider care team

We are looking for someone who is:

* Experienced in supporting people with complex mental health needs

* Calm, patient and understanding

* Confident supporting challenging behaviours

* Reliable and professional

* Able to build positive and trusting relationships

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

* Passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred support

PMVA experience or training is desirable, although not essential.

Pay

£14.35 – £16.88 per hour
