MEP Design Manager – Hinkley Point C Taunton (Permanent)
We are currently looking for a MEP Technical/Design Manager opportunity (HPC Taunton). They currently designing and installing non-permanent services at HPC in support of the permanent works contractors.
The Scope
Electrical
400v services, 400v/110 v services, 110v lighting and emergency lighting, 110v power, some 240v power and 400v power supplies
Mechanical
General supply and extract ventilation to provide fresh air to the buildings to retain the Co2 levels for the safety of the occupants, there will be cold water supplies, drainage, chilled water, deionised water to support thew flushing and commissioning activities
Building Services
Design management and a good level of system design experience of Building services.
Location
The individual will be site based full time at HPC and be managing a team of 6 engineers and 3 AutoCAD engineers.
Experience
• This role requires an individual with proven experience at a senior level in delivering building services design and successfully implementing design strategies.
• MEP design management with in highly regulated environment
• Experience of Design Management, technical review relating to mechanical or electrical scopes of work
• Detailed knowledge of codes of practice, in particular designer duties and responsibilities under CDM and other regulatory requirements
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit and any other software applications
