We are working with a leading construction contractor delivering a portfolio of significant projects across the UK. Due to continued project demand, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major healthcare development in Bedford, involving the construction of a new five-to-six-storey medical facility with an MEP package valued at approximately £15 million.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages, working closely with the wider project delivery and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Commercial management of MEP packages from procurement through to final account.

*

Administration of NEC contracts and management of contractual obligations.

*

Subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.

*

Cost reporting, forecasting and financial management.

*

Management of variations, change control and commercial risk.

*

Working collaboratively with operational and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

What We're Looking For

*

Previous experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor.

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.

*

Experience working with NEC contracts.

*

Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

*

Ability to manage subcontractor accounts and project costs effectively.

*

A proactive, professional approach with strong communication skills.
