Job Description

The focus of the Merchandising Assistant is to support each market through a balanced product assortment, in line with the sales performance and the business strategy. Be proactive in merchandise allocation to the stores to maximize product availability in store. Ensuring stock is allocated to the right place at the right time.

This role is a fixed term contract for 9 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on continuity production priorities.
  • Liaise with logistic, and quality control teams for deliveries (set priorities), replenishment and shipments. 
  • Develop strong working relationships across departments and regions to build a collaborative process to support sales and maximize product availability.
  • Review (model stock) per store and SKU and regularly review the target model stock. 
  • Identify any shortage, overstock situation and sales opportunities utilising the Merchandising KPI reporting tools. 
  • Make recommendations for any stock rebalancing between markets.
  • Managing fine jewellery stock for campaigns, photoshoots and events. 
  • Data validation for weekly status maintenance of all models, zero margin flagging.
  • Preparing the merchandising KPI's reports.
  • Ad-hoc reporting. 

Qualifications

  • Business related or Fashion Management degree / studies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable using Excel, preferably Advanced Excel skills
  • Work experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail orientated
  • Excellent communicator
  • Interested in luxury
  • Knowledge of retail systems is a plus
