Job Description - MES Engineer

Contract Length: 12 months (likely extension)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35 / 2 days onsite per week
Rate: (Apply online only) per day (negotiable)

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on MES Engineer with proven experience delivering and supporting DELMIA Apriso solutions in a manufacturing environment. You'll join a team responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, and ongoing support of MES capabilities that underpin production operations, working closely with manufacturing engineering, IT, and shop floor stakeholders.

This is a delivery-focused role - you should be comfortable configuring Apriso modules end-to-end, troubleshooting production issues, and working within a structured manufacturing environment where uptime and data accuracy are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and deploy DELMIA Apriso solutions across relevant modules (e.g. Process Builder, Global Process, Time & Labor, Quality, Production, Machine Integration)
Develop and maintain business process flows using Apriso Process Builder
Integrate Apriso with shop floor equipment, PLCs, and enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, SCADA)
Support system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and manage deployment through DEV/TEST/PROD environments
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, providing hands-on support during core hours and escalation as required
Work with manufacturing engineers to translate shop floor requirements into MES functionality
Contribute to documentation: functional specs, configuration guides, and support runbooks
Participate in continuous improvement of MES processes and system performance

Essential Experience

Demonstrable hands-on experience with DELMIA Apriso (configuration, Process Builder, deployment)
Strong understanding of MES concepts and their application in a discrete or process manufacturing environment
Experience integrating MES with shop floor equipment and enterprise systems (ERP/PLM)
Comfortable working independently and delivering to project timelines
