We're currently looking for a skilled and experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a well-established and highly respected vehicle repair group in Swindon.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the efficient removal and refitting of mechanical and trim components as part of the repair process. Working within a professional, forward-thinking workshop, you'll be part of a team that genuinely values quality workmanship.

The Job: MET Mechanic / Strip Fitter

• Remove & refit trims / interior components on vehicles
• Stripping and refitting bumpers, panels, bonnets ect.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-damage condition
• Fault finding
• Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles in accordance with the prescribed repair method
• Ensure that stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out in a professional and correct manner and that final quality checks are undertaken in line with applicable standards
• Ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times
• Check that all parts are ordered as per estimate, to ensure that the repair can be completed without delay, returning all unused parts to the parts department for credit
• Awareness & adherence to all necessary standards and H&S procedures

Job Experience Required: Strip Fitter /MET Technician

• City & Guild Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive Bodyshop Repair (Not essential)
• Previous Bodyshop Strip Fit experience is essential
