MET Technician

Our client, a well-established Accident Repair Centre in Durham, is seeking a highly skilled and qualified MET Technician to join their dedicated team.

Basic salary of up to £24 per hour (£49,920 annually) with excellent overtime earning potential

Perform all mechanical and bodywork repairs as assigned to the MET Technician
Conduct dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and reassembly, including fitting of new parts
Carry out vehicle inspections and testing to ensure quality and safety standards
Identify faults or safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs
Perform road tests to assess vehicle roadworthiness legally and safely
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all work carried out by the MET TechnicianRequirements:

Level 3 qualification in vehicle mechanics or equivalent (desirable)
ATA accreditation is advantageous but not essential
Proven experience as an MET Technician within the motor trade
Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and safety awareness as a core attribute
Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
