Metal Prep and Planning Team Leader

We are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious Metal Prep and Planning Team Leader to drive performance and quality within the department. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, team development, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Production Manager to fulfil the daily production plan, ensuring all team members achieve their performance targets in line with business objectives


• Lead the Metal Prep team to meet daily production targets and business goals.


• Ensure staff training and competency align with company standards.


• Monitor output quality and conduct regular audits to maintain high standards.


• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


• Conduct performance reviews, manage personnel administration, and support recruitment.


• Cover Production Manager duties in their absence.


• Drive process improvements and team motivation through regular feedback and meetings.


• Purchase all consumable that are required within the metal prep department

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.


• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and COSHH compliance.


• Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills.


• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing production demands
