Job Description - MFL Teacher

Job Title: Long-Term Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French & Spanish)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) specialising in French and Spanish to join a thriving secondary academy in Doncaster. This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, ideal for a passionate educator committed to inspiring students and promoting language learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish
Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high-achieving students
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
Contribute to curriculum development within the MFL department
Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school activities
Uphold the academy's behaviour management policies and maintain high standards of classroom disciplineRequirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in French, Spanish, or a related subject
Experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Desirable

Experience teaching at Key Stage 5
Familiarity with current GCSE/A-Level specifications
Ability to contribute to extracurricular MFL activities or tripsWhat We Offer
