Job Role: Middleweight Interior Designer

Jak is currently partnering with an esteemed, award-winning design studio in their quest to discover passionate and skilled interior designers who can contribute to their growing team. This design studio has gained a reputation for its sophisticated and opulent bespoke design styles tailored to high-net-worth clientele.

Apart from their notable projects within the UK, the design team is actively engaged in ventures across diverse regions, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in an array of breath-taking projects, from lavish estates to high-end penthouses!

Role:
Working in close collaboration with senior and lead designers, you will play a vital role across all stages of the design process.
Assisting with tasks like generating, preparing, and presenting design concepts for review, creating detailed specifications and drawings spanning floor plans, bespoke installations, joinery, and architectural intricacies throughout the design phases.
Responsible for producing visually appealing visualizations that vividly convey design proposals, and ensuring consistent reviews at crucial design junctures with senior designers.
Working on FF&E schedules and presenting mood boards.
Active participation in site visits during key project stages and researching product suitability and material specifications are also key aspects of this role.
Comprehensive site measurements & coordination of subcontractors.
Close collaboration with the procurement team, budget monitoring, establishment and maintenance of installation schedules for each project.
Conducting site and supplier visits to ensure elevated standards.
Responsible for snagging reports and efficient data recording as well.
Involved in maintaining the sample library.
Aiding in the compilation of bid documents.

Skill / Experience Requirements:
A degree in Interior Design or Architecture (or equivalent professional experience).
Demonstrating the capability to autonomously manage small to medium-sized projects.
A solid understanding of the market is expected.
A profound grasp of Interior Architecture & Design, alongside in-depth knowledge of FF&E products, finishes, their fabrication techniques, and operational applications, is a key requirement.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is crucial, allowing you to accurately translate your design concepts into comprehensive floor plans, elevations, and 3D models.
Exceptional presentation, conceptual and visualising skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
Professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
Ability to use SketchUp or equivalent for visualisation purposes.
Proven experience producing detailed drawings packages, schedules and specification
Strong interpersonal skills will facilitate effective collaboration and communication with clients, architects, and contractors, fostering successful partnerships and the realization of your design visions.
Confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
